Zoey's light caress against her thigh stops. Mira's gentle pressure against her shoulder remains, ever unflappable.
Rumi takes a final, deep breath, like she’s about to belt out a chorus. Too much air, to force her to say something, to say anything. She only manages to quietly whisper out the truth.
“I have a penis.”
Both hands freeze now, even Mira seemingly flapped. Rumi squeezes her eyes shut tighter. The room is silent for a few seconds, then Zoey speaks from outside the dark of Rumi’s clenched eyelids. “So?” she asks, “you can still come to the women’s bathhouse, nobody ever cares about Mira’s.”OR
Sexually repressed Rumi is way too self-conscious about her demon dick, so Zoey and Mira help her figure it out.

“Well, I woke up with this awful hangover, and I was really hungry. But the hangover is pretty much gone now” Rumi shrugged as she cut her pancakes into much more manageable pieces than Zoey.
Mira snapped out of her pancake nostalgia and turned to Rumi, “Wait you drank last night? But you never drink!”
“I mean… I don’t exactly remember drinking anything. All I remember is falling asleep, cuddling on the couch with you two and then I woke up in my room with a massive headache and a dry mouth. I must have had a lot because I didn’t even have my pajamas on when I woke up.” Rumi admitted. She used her fork to push her pancakes back and forth instead of eating them.

Rumi gets body swapped with her past self and no body realizes until its too late.

Finally, Zoey blurted it out, voice soft but sharp:
“Have you ever thought of… something besides monogamy?”
Mira’s thumb stilled on the screen. She looked up, slow. “…What?”
Zoey’s hands twisted in her lap. “Like—not open relationships. Just… not just one person. Have you ever thought about being with more than one person and it still being okay?”
She wasn’t looking at Mira. Her voice was tight, like it hurt to speak. Mira watched her with a furrowed brow, still quiet.
“I feel so guilty all the time. Because I love you, Mira. I love you, and this doesn’t change that, but I see her and I want to make her smile and I want her to hold my hand and I think she’s beautiful and weird and sweet and I—”
She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.
“…Oh thank god.”
