She could feel the warmth of them even now, heating her ribs before sinking lower into her gut to cool alongside her guilt. Tav hadn’t seen Zevlor since the day they fought the elder brain.
A month after her great victory Tav is walking with Scratch and runs into the person she is most afraid, and most desperate to see.
