Wei Wuxian drops his hand, leans one shoulder into the stunted door frame. “Oh. Okay. So. Why are you here, exactly?”
“The Institute sent me to assist you,” the ridiculously beautiful cardigan owner says, “as your familiar.”
Wei Wuxian laughs as if it’s a joke, although the man’s stony expression makes it clear that any humor gleaned from him is likely unintentional.
“Well, uh, I appreciate your,” Wei Wuxian says, “you know, time, but everything is under control here, actually.”
With impeccable timing, a tea-kettle sound keens from the kitchen, followed by a contained bang.

Summary
At first, he thinks he’s caught a bird; it’s the size of one of his palms and wrapped fully in damp feathers. As he shuffles toward the beam of light that streams through the open window, he wonders how it managed to fly into his lantern, shut the door, and latch it against the wild gales of the wind.
Then, he takes a closer look, thumbing across its feathers, and realizes that they’re not feathers at all. They’re leaves. Startled, Lan Zhan shifts as gently as possible and, using the tip of his finger, parts them to reveal a body, complete with tiny limbs and a small face, all of it wrapped in the dress made from peony petals.
“Oh,” Lan Zhan breathes softly, heart clenching. “Oh, what are you?”

Summary
Lately, Nie Huaisang’s thoughts all concerned Lan Wangji’s disastrous love life and how this negatively impacted all the poor souls that had to put up with his lack-of-cuddling induced stress. Stress that resulted in extra strictness, that was.
And, especially, his thoughts also revolved around how to solve that situation.
Nie Huaisang watched Wei Wuxian out of the corner of his eye.
I mean, if there’s someone who’s usually up to taking one for the team, it’s Wei-xiong. But would he agree to make out with Lan-er-gongzi to appease the guy a bit? Or would he consider letting himself be kissed and caressed by another boy a bit too much to ask of him?
(Or: Nie Huaisang notices Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian might have feelings for each other and decides to do something about it.)
