Summary
In a single night, Rose goes from a happy princess to a wanted fugitive when soldiers storm her parents' castle. Together with her best friend and loyal servant, Lewis, she flees the ravages of war to a neighbouring country, where the king only allows them to stay when Lewis impulsively offers Rose's hand in marriage to him. However, after giving them accommodations, the king vanishes, leaving Rose and Lewis to fend for themselves until his return.
One day he returns, refusing to tell her where he went and what he did. Rose loathes the douchebag.... but maybe not all of him is entirely bad.
