    Summary

    Following the Jedi path is a daunting task to Gida Tiatkin. Not only is the young Twi'lek expected to master combat and diplomacy, but it is imperative that she learn to control her empathic abilities.
    Nearly every interaction she has involves emotions so strong she has trouble differentiating between who is feeling what, and so feels them as though they are her own. And with the dawn of the Clone Wars, emotions run ever higher.

    Teyla Marin found herself floundering after the death of her Master, Sifo-Dyas. Studying under whatever Masters had the inclination to teach her, the Pantoran managed to become a Jedi Knight with a broad range of skills - including Battle Mediation.
    Despite her protests, the onset of the Clone Wars necessitated that she take command of Chimera Company, and lead hundreds of clones troopers into battle. Fighting her own insecurities, she must strike a balance between the Jedi she wants to be, and the person her troops and Padawan need her to be.

    "How do you do it?" she said into his chest, her voice muffled in his rumpled robes. "How do you go on without your Master?"

    Obi-Wan's breath hitched again. He didn't respond to her for several minutes, only holding her. They should probably get off the tarmac, but she would die from grief if she pulled away from him right now.

    "You wait it out until you can finally bear it," he eventually replied. It wasn't the answer she wanted, but there probably wasn't any other. She tried to picture Obi-Wan waiting around and doing nothing. She tried to picture herself doing the same thing.

    Ahsoka sobbed again.
