Summary
Koneko, mahluk hidup baru yang muncul di tengah masa berkabung yang dialami manusia. Rasa sedih akibat punahnya keluarga kucing perlahan mulai membaik. Koneko menggantikan peran kucing sebagai sahabat manusia.
Kagami Taiga menemukan hal tak terduga saat dirinya baru saja pulang dari luar kota. Koneko miliknya yang bernama Kuroko Tetsuya ternyata tidak sendirian. Ada juga Koneko lain yang tidur di sebelah Kuroko.
Dan dari sanalah kehidupan Kagami dan Kuroko mulai berjalan secara melenceng. Apa yang sudah direncakan Kagami bagi Kuroko harus berubah setelah Akashi Seijuurou datang menyerang. Ia bahkan juga membawa serta seorang pemilik host club bernama Aomine Daiki untuk meladeni Kagami. Kuroko dan Kagami tentu saja merasa tidak rela. Tetapi, Akashi dan Aomine tidak akan mau membiarkan sesuatu yang berkualitas lepas dari tangan mereka.

Setelah pernyataan cinta dilakukan oleh Kuroko Tetsuna kepada Akashi Seijuuro, jalan percintaan diantara mereka berdua ternyata tidak berakhir begitu saja. Kuroko ingin meluruskan kembali jalannya menjadi jalan pertemanan tetapi ternyata tidak semudah itu. Perasaannya masih terlalu besar untuk dihilangkan secara langsung, bahkan dengan bantuan terselubung yang diberikan Akashi tanpa Akashi sendiri sadari.
Jadi, apakah jalan pertemanan bisa didapatkan kembali? Atau justru ada yang tidak puas dengan hal itu?

No, this is a story about I-don't-give-a-fuck-these-rules-are-mine-to-make Kuroko Tetsuya, and just-date-me-already-stop-being-the-mature-one Akashi Seijuurou.
Of course, they're both still completely badass, chill and they'll rip apart those who attempt to even make a move on the other.
Stuck in between are some unfortunate, rainbow morons and their extras: an overprotective, older-brother-figure who loves light novels way too much for it to be healthy, and a lot more otherworldly beings that never wanted to resurrect in the first place if it meant going through what they had to go through. Oh, and humans who die.A lot of them.

Kuroko decided to retaliate as he put his hands down, even though it was a rather lame defense. "I'm sorry, but I believe your hair is burning as well, Akashi-san."
Akashi was a little taken aback, to be honest, though he would neither admit nor show it. He had never met anyone who'd dare to actually defy him in any sort of way. To be fair, he didn't really want to look like someone threatening in front of his future lover.
Akashi laughed and decided to play along. "Funny, I didn't notice. Should I call the fire department?"
"I believe that is unnecessary, for I rather like the fire. Might keep your big head in check." Kuroko deadpanned. Oooh, burn.
Akashi narrowed his eyes. "Did you just-"
"Yes. Yes I did."
------------------In other words, Akashi and Kuroko are perfect for each other.
