The omega held back a shudder as the imaginary shackles began to bind his wrists with something cold and repressive.
“I am not yours.” Eren bit out suddenly, shoulders bunching instinctively and his eyes glowing in defiance. A thorny sharp scent of damp roses and rotting blackberry’s emitted from him to ward off the alpha who had decided so boldly that Eren wouldn’t put up a fight. He hadn’t been planning to initially. The omega had decided from the minute that his father had told him about the proposal that he would act demure and resign to his fate.
Eren should have known he would never truly fall.
Eren is to believe that to sacrifice his freedom, the world will garner peace. Instead, Levi teaches him to believe in his own choices.

He needn't have worried. The small one was strong.
He sees the human many more times since then. It seems as if the herd doesn't venture out without it. He wonders if that one is the pack-leader. It seems logical, but humans are not always creatures of logic.
He forces back memories of that one, and continues to shadow the herd whenever it ventures out. He makes a habit of waiting in the small grouping of trees near the gate so as not to miss one of their outings. Eventually he learns to distinguish the small one from the others even before it takes to the air, and he feels proud of this accomplishment.
Months later, only hours after the humans had returned behind their walls, everything changes.
(In which Eren is not a human that can turn into a Titan, but a Titan that can turn into a human.)

The faint glint in Eren’s eye calmed Levi’s flare of indignant anger. “Just… let me…” Eren slid his hand down over Levi’s parted lips, gently brushing them with his fingertips. Levi felt the shudder in his spine just as Eren replaced those fingers with a kiss so tender, he nearly missed it. Just a brief touch of the lips, but Levi felt it far deeper than the surface of his skin. It crawled down inside his chest, settling into his belly and replacing that strange, gnawing feeling with something far greater, and much more unsettling.
After he bid Eren a good night for the second time and closed the door behind him, he leaned against the old, pitted wood and closed his eyes against the vacuous space of his quarters. His own fingers traced the lingering sensation of Eren’s lips against his as the realization struck him.
This man will destroy me.

When Levi Ackerman boarded the Titanic on April 10, 1912, he expected warm meals, soft pillows, great service and running water. All luxurious things the Titanic boasted it could offer on its journey across the Atlantic Ocean, even for the low-class passengers like Levi.
What Levi did not expect was what could only be described as an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object in the form of a young, snobby 1st class passenger named Eren Jäger. And Levi certainly did not expect falling in love with Eren so quickly it felt like exactly that - falling.

Although...with the new prefect badge burning a hole in his robe pocket, the Daily Prophet reporting on the army of dark wizards gaining power daily, and the new (annoying as shit) Durmstrang transfer student, Eren Jaeger, all making his life a fucking misery, Levi was acutely aware of how fragile a dream that would turn out to be.

Sure, he’d never know if it’s possible to rid the world of those monstrosities outside the walls. He’d never see the day those walls actually fall. He’d never see what actually lies beyond them. What life is like outside of everything he’s ever known. If the sun shined differently without the confines of a cage.
If all the suffering had been worth it in the end.
Or the one where Levi gets separated from the rest of his squad while out on a mission, and Eren, who has grown up outside the walls, finds him before death does.
