Summary
One moment, Ukai Keishin is fighting a losing battle, leading his battalion as best he can. In the next, he’s transported to the far-away village, thanks to an enemy war mage. A kindly healer named Takeda Ittetsu takes him in and promises to tend to his wounds for free if Ukai will teach his young students how to defend themselves with sword and shield. The job is easy, and soon, Ukai begins to care for the town, his students, and the lovely healer who took him in.

Summary
Sasaki and Miyano became a couple in high school, were boyfriends through college. They were together for years.
In their early twenties, they broke up.
Now, in their mid to late thirties, over a decade after their breakup, Sasaki and Miyano are reunited.
Returning to his hometown after the death of his father, Miyano now owns a bookstore and surrounds himself with his love of reading. It was just a coincidence that he looks out of the window, spots a familiar orange head that belongs to his ex-boyfriend. Miyano learns that Sasaki has a daughter, a little girl he adores. Too captivated by the sight of his ex as a father, Miyano accidentally makes his staring known, and Sasaki easily spots a familiar cute face.
As the two get to know each other as adult men, they try to get past their old heartbreak so they can be friends again, but they are quickly tempted by old desires and the longing in their hearts that they discover didn't fully go away. Can anyone truly be just friends with their first great love? For Sasaki and Miyano, it's a confusing place to be in. Can they even be friends at all after everything they've been through?

Summary
Traveling like a Pilgrim was not as big a change as Hakon thought it would be. Granted, he had the best one at his side so there was little to worry about. “And now,” Sidon continues, “she is… my betrothed. My fiancée… my bride-to-be.”
Link swallows something heavy and dull. “Congratulations,” he gets out. “You must be very happy.”
“I am indeed,” Sidon confirms. “Though I’m much happier now that you are here!”
Link doesn’t say anything in response to that, because he can’t force his body to move even if he wanted to. A tear is beginning to form in his heart now, between the elation of seeing Sidon again and the pain that the news of his engagement brings him.
He wonders to himself just how long it will be before the tear grows larger and rips in two.
