“Jason has mentioned before that he’d be open to exploring that sort of dynamic with someone else,” Clive added. “Someone he trusts. Such as yourself.”
Is he asking me to—
“Oh,” Clive said, as if remembering something minor, “you would need to be comfortable with a very bratty submissive.”
Neil swallowed.
“And pain,” Clive continued. “Is that an ethical concern for you, given that you’re a healer? Though, of course, the subject would be requesting it. Actually, now that I think about it, your being a healer makes you particularly well suited.”
Neil felt like he’d just been hit by conversational whiplash.
“Neil?” Clive paused. “Are you all right? I apologize if that was too personal.”
Neil blinked a few times, dragging his thoughts back from places they very much wanted to linger. “Yes. I mean—no. I mean—I just wasn’t expecting that.”
“That’s understandable,” Clive said. “It isn’t a particularly common arrangement. But it works well for us.”
They stood in silence for a moment.
“Would you be interested?” Clive asked again.

Summary
A confession from Rand reshapes Mat's future plans and choices.
Mat had — against his will — gotten used to Rand appearing in the middle of the night. It was the safest time for them to meet without anyone knowing that they were communicating. Even though Rand and Mat had already talked out the plan and technically didn’t need to meet up anymore, somehow he still ended up in Mat’s bedroom at least once a week. He would talk about their plans against Illian sometimes, but it was just as likely to be him going on about how confusing women were, especially Aviendha and Elayne Trakand.
Not that Mat disagreed in particular. He’d often found himself perplexed by Aviendha and Elayne too, though certainly not for the same reasons as Rand.
Mat frowned, banishing the memory of red-gold hair.
Not for the same reasons at all.

“Cliiiiiive.” Jason slung his arm over the scholar’s surprisingly fit shoulders. “When are we gonna do drunken puzzles?”
He gestures with both hands, reaching in front of Clive’s face from his position, leaning heavily over the man. “We never did drunken puzzles.”
“Do you want to do them now?” Clive asked like they weren’t already out at a pub and doing peopling things while drunk.
“Clive, that’s a home thing,” Jason explained, nodding sagely.
“Do you want to go home then?” Clive asked, sounding completely reasonable. Jason scrunched his brow thinking. What did they come out here for again? He racked his brain. Ohhhh, right!
“No, no.” Jason waved his suggestion away, then whispered conspiratorially in a stage whisper. “We’re here to find you a wife.”

Summary
Neil volunteers to help Jason kick that pesky breathing habit (yes, this happened in canon--book 3). His efforts take an unexpected turn leading them into a friends with benefits/fuck buddies relationship that neither one of them is will to address.
Evilphrog has brought up that Jason and Neil could have been fuck buddies this whole time and it wouldn't have changed the story at all. This is an exploration of how that might look behind the curtain.

Summary
Just a collection of my canon-compliant missing scene fics. Most of them work as standalones, but they do all fit in the same universe in my head. New stories will be added in chronological book order, not by the order they were written. My other canon-compliant stories will eventually end up here, once they are complete enough to fit coherently into the rest of the story.
