She remembers that she was asked whether it was all worth it at the end. Most importantly, Taylor Hebert remembers that she said "no", to that question.

Summary
The locker incident never happened, but the bullying only got worse, leading to Taylor triggering in the middle of class after a bottle of soda was thrown at her face. Flashforward a few weeks, and Taylor discovers that her tinker specialization involves making missiles.
Being the queen of escalation that she is, Taylor decides that the best way to become a cape is to first moonlight as a hammy villain, stockpile enough cash and materials for her inventions, and earn enough infamy to eventually defeat herself in her hero persona to earn a solid reputation. Simple enough, right?

Being transported to another world, she will need to adapt quickly to the new rules and hopefully maintain a job with the SDN. Thankfully, they're far less pigheaded than the Protectorate, but that doesn't mean the world is any less dangerous.
