“Is that…?” Vincent trailed off, still not processing the scene in front of him.
“A dead body.” Alastor finished his sentence, he appeared more calm than his roommate. “It seems so.”
“What do we do?”
Alastor grabbed Vincent’s hand, making his heterochromic friend stiffen up. “We go back to our dorm, pretend we didn’t see it, and come up with some kind of alibi.”
The sudden sound of a police siren in the distance made the two young men jump.
“Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!”

Alastor Benoit is looking forward to starting college and studying Media, that is until he meets his roommate, Vincent Whittman, a Business Major who stares at him too much for Alastor's liking. The two are somewhat cordial, friendly even, that is until the two stumble upon a dead body in the bayou behind the college. The body is discovered by the police soon after and they must keep their secret under wraps best they can.
Who knows what shenanigans might happen and what they might discover about each other (and themselves) along the way.TLDR: Modern-day MurderMedia college AU with a murder on the sidelines

“Deal’s not a deal till we shake on it, pal.” the boy extended his hand. “The name’s Alastor.”
Vincent looked him up and down warily, but accepted his hand. He gripped it tightly, and gave it a strong tug, just like his father had taught him. “I’m Vincent.” He deepened his voice just a smidge. 'You can always tell a real man apart from a daisy just from his handshake', his father always said.
Alastor gave a slight giggle in response, seemingly amused by the bizarre greeting. Vincent still wasn’t sure if he was laughing at him or if he just laughed at everything. He found he didn’t care that much either way, now that his initial anger had passed. Alastor had a nice laugh.

Summary
Vox is a silent movie star struggling to transition into ‘talkies’ after the massive success of The Jazz Singer. To remedy this, his producer hires an aspiring radio singer, Mr. Alastor Hartfelt, as a vocal instructor. Immediately smitten by Mr. Hartfelt, but completely doomed, Vox tries a new nightclub where he meets a beautiful woman, Alice Starhart, known for her beautiful singing voice, red coat and tight buttons. By some cosmic joke, Alastor and Alice tell him they are brother and sister. Vox finds himself in a love triangle with the brother and sister pair, completely torn between his feelings for them.
Only to find out…they might be closer than brother and sister.
Aka 1920’s au with a genderfluid Alastor and Vox in love with both versions. Loosely inspired by Singin’ in the Rain.

Suddenly, all too quickly and with the overzealous confidence of a school boy, Vox turns to him sharply with a wide grin.
“Wanna dance?”
He can’t help a sputter a laugh at the request, entirely taken aback by the directness. He pretends to roll the idea over in his mind for a moment before letting out a sigh of defeat. So much for unnecessary drama.
“Why not”
Vox practically beams at him, immediately jumping up from his seat with a slight tumble to grab the top end of Alastor’s forearm. Despite his large sharp claws and the suddenness of the gesture - his touch is surprisingly gentle.Or: 5 times over the course of their relationship Alastor wanted to initiate physical affection but Vox got there first and one time he beat him to it
