The very first thing for him to notice when his senses came back one after another was the warm breath tingling on his face from someone being way too close. The second was the absence of the hard, dusty ground, replaced with soft and warm sheets. The third one was the smell of antiseptic, mixed with blood and sweat.
“Takumi…?”
When he tried to move, a warm hand touched his bandaged back, briefly helping him to properly sit up. Out of instinct, Eito wanted to push it away, but his body was sore and bruised, deeming him unable to put up any kind of resistance.
“You’re in the infirmary. You—”
“I should be dead.”
After leaving Last Defense Academy, Eito is ready to spend his remaining days in solitude until death would inevitably knock on his door. He didn't expect that from all the leftover people on this planet, Takumi would be the one spoiling his plan once again.

His brother, Frank, is a successful farmer in Westown, a quiet desert town, and suggests Bri learn from Frank, declaring he'll know if she has what it takes.
