Anticipation flutters when they begin to drape his waist and legs with thin, cool fabric, a syringe injected carefully into the bag of saline above his head that he assumes will put him out. Sure enough, his senses begin to dull, the world going soft around the edges as the pressure of the restraints fade into the background—but he stays fully conscious and aware, heart rate picking up on the monitor the longer it takes to kick in.Series

His punishment hadn’t been completed and it was continuing to haunt him, but he nevertheless finds himself drawing closer to this man. He wants to do everything he can to save his life from the horrors they face, even if it puts his own at risk.
