Summary
Shuichi Saihara is coming into the world of master detectives hot off the trail of a scandal his father left behind, a failed case that ruined his perfect track record. Expectations are high for the young detective with big boots to fill as he is given his first case, dealing with a phantom thief hitting all of Tokyo's hottest spots. With the weight of his family name holding him down Shuichi needs to act fast and try to catch up to the notorious thief before he loses all credibility right out the gate.
His friends believe in him, but the agency doesn't. Most of all he doesn't believe in his ability to play catch up against the quick witted thief, knowing he could be outplayed at any moment. Unable to back away he takes chase, hoping for his big break.

Kokichi will dangle a lie above Shuichi’s head, asking for him to take the bait and unravel it into the truth. But this secret seems to be one they aren’t overly eager to share. And that’s the most enticing kind of bait that Shuichi just can’t resist.
He had to know.
