She may have thought of him, the Dark Lord, on his knees in front of her; equal parts exciting and terrifying. The perfect imperious slope of his profile, the dismissive turn to his lips. How it had all softened when his head met her middle.
A guilty tendril curls through her. She swallows it down, and finds her voice. "I have done no such thing."

When Sauron stabs Galadriel above Eregion he unknowingly opens a rift in their minds that will haunt the two of them through the second and third age, and on until the end of the world.

Summary
Frodo fails.
The good people of Middle Earth succumb to the rule of the One Ring and its only master, Sauron. In his victory, he promises only a cruel decimation of the world as he reforges it in his image. Except, of course, his chief adversary needs to make things more complicated. Another bargain struck. An accord for a hand in marriage, in exchange for a fading chance to save Middle Earth from utter ruin.

Annatar grins, his white teeth brighter than his eyes in the dark. “Ah, my type of love language,” he demurs. “Tell me, were you hiding that dagger all along for me? Such flirtations can be,” a sudden pause as he gasps, breathing the last words out slowly, “quite deadly.”
“You do not scare me,” Galadriel says, her voice ever as firm as her resolve. “Who are you, and why are you here?”
Annatar swallows, his throat bobbing against the edge of the blade. It nicks him, a drop of blood pooling onto the silver. “I think,” he says carefully, “you already know the answer to that. It is only a matter of you saying it.”
“I want you to say it,” Galadriel hisses as she leans forward, digging the blade deeper into his flesh. “Show your face.”
He grins wider at her. He leans into the blade, more blood pooling to the surface and pouring down the slant of it, until their faces are but inches apart from each other, their noses almost touching.
“Make me,” he whispers.
