Summary
Peeta's voice pulls Katniss from her reverie and she remembers, suddenly, that the universe does not begin end with the bundle in her arms. That there is a whole world out there, that this world, the one Katniss and Peeta and so many others fought for, will not be as cruel to her daughter as it was to her.
The infant’s arms escape her swaddle, reaching high in the air as her little fists clench and unclench. She coos softly, voice high and so, so precious. Katniss is sure that no one has ever felt the way she has felt in this moment, that no one has ever felt so taken by another living thing. She cannot imagine how she's meant to function with her heart so near to bursting.
“She’s perfect,” Peeta says softly, and Katniss can’t help but laugh, happy tears thickening her throat. Their baby gurgles discontentedly as she’s rustled, and Peeta rushes to shush her, a few of his own tears dripping onto her tiny face.
“She is,” Katniss agrees, leaning up into her husband’s warmth to press a kiss to his lips. “And she’s ours.”

Soundwave's banishment to the shadowzone has been bleak, uneventful and unending. He hasn't been able to contact Megatron or the Nemesis. He's low on fuel. If it weren't for the emotion-suppressing protocols he implemented before the war, he would be miserable.
And then one day a dimension-hopping Rodimus falls into the shadowzone and offers him a way out.
