After all, what could it be but utter hatred, whenever lies and knife-like words spill out of their lips within moments of a conversation with one another, when orders to put poison in their cups and spikes under their bedsheets were given by no one but a Harbinger, when they perform unspeakable acts against each other simply to revel in their pain and anger?
Truly, the Fatui Harbingers- the biggest fools in their palace of idiocy -despised one another. It would be no stretch to claim that they would love to see one another dead.
But it would be false to claim that hatred was all that they felt for one another.
Love- it, too, existed in the cold, dead hearts in the God of Love's elite soldiers.

He is, unfortunately, reminded of it the very next day, when the door slams open and Al-Haitham stalks in. “Mind telling me why everyone was congratulating me today?” he demands. “About your pregnancy?"
Or: Al-Haitham is, without a doubt, the most annoying person Kaveh knows. Maybe the world’s second-most annoying person can help Kaveh figure him out.

Summary
When Chase woke up he knew he was sick but went to work anyway. It doesn't go well and soon he finds himself in the bathroom hugging the toilet. The last thing he needs with a stomach bug is his boss. Or so he thinks. But House turns out to be surprisingly nice, taking care of his sick duckling with the help of Wilson. And although Chase has pretty much the worst day of his life, House is there and actually makes all this a little more bearable. In the process House learns that he would do pretty much everything for his little wombat (or de facto son :)). And although Wilson could never imagine himself co-parenting one of House's sick ducklings, here he is.
Set somewhere in season six. Focuses on House & Chase father-son-relationship and House & Wilson friendship.

Chase stared at his hands in his lap, while his brain went haywire. Of course, he loved House and Wilson too. It made him genuinely happy that they said they loved him. And he acknowledged that this was a kind gesture. But parents were scary. They beat you up all the time. What he enjoyed most about being an adult, was to not have to be in constant pain anymore.
But maybe it would be worth the pain, if he got to belong to a family who wanted him? Chase suddenly shivered. He realized that the pain might actually be worth it, but the fear...? He couldn’t hold back the tears. This was a dream come true, and he was gonna have to turn it down because he was a coward.
“I don’t know… I love you too, so much. But I don’t know if I can go back to that life. I’d be afraid to fuck up all the time. And I know you wouldn’t hit me as hard as my real parents, but…” Chase’s voice trailed off.
