Summary
Yuuji’s throat was raw when he spoke. “I miss you.”
A sigh from the man in front of him. “I’m right here.”
Yuuji glanced up from his position crouched in front of Megumi’s sitting form, his neck craning to see his lover. They had been like this for hours, just sitting there, Yuuji’s head on Megumi’s lap. Hearing each other breathe, reminding each other they were still alive. That they were still both there together, holding onto each other as the world passed them by. Megumi’s hair had long since paled and silvered, and if Yuuji looked at it just right it seemed to glow in the sunlight splashed across their faces through the crack in the blinds. Megumi’s eyes were still that same piercing blue he had fallen in love with on the day they met, only more wrinkled and aged with the many, many years that had flown by without them noticing. They still studied him like he was something incomprehensible.
“You know what I mean, Megumi.”

Summary
Already he realizes that he can't go back to the way things were, at least not where Megumi is concerned. He can't go back to simply standing next to him on rooftops sharing a cigarette while not being able to touch him. He hasn't believed in higher entities in a long time but he almost starts praying for this to not be a one time only thing or some kind of momentary indulgence, because he needs Megumi to want this for as long as he does and that might as well mean forever.
1998. Yuuji, a rough-and-tumble mechanic from one of Tokyo's run-down neighborhoods, gets caught up in a whirlwind of urban chaos that threatens to end his life. He also meets a black-haired boy with deep, dark blue eyes that he can't bring himself to stop thinking about.

Summary
Megumi Fushiguro leads a simple life.
During the school year, he attends Jujutsu University, spending most of his time with his nose in a book or trying to avoid his pseudo-father figure and head of the Philosophy department, Gojo. During the summer, he comes home to the snug beach house owned by said professor in the small town of Chatan, off the Japanese coast in Okinawa, where everyone knows everyone and summer seems to last all year long.
Megumi isn't the biggest fan of the sun. Regardless, he doesn't hate the idea of time to catch up on his reading, enjoy some cuddles with his puppies, and hang out with his sister. He's expecting a quaint summer spent mostly in good solitude.
What he doesn't expect is a pair of bright brown eyes and pale pink hair, surfing into his life on a wave and taking his begrudging heart with it.
Maybe the sun isn't so bad, after all.--
In which Megumi Fushiguro gets a summer job as a lifeguard and keeps running into the same bubbly surfer, who, for some reason, he can't get off his mind. (That surfer is Yuji Itadori, naturally).

“People were killed,” Yuji said and gestured to the swaying ceiling above them. “If anyone else was going to die, it would have been while we were stuck waiting for you to get here. What are you even inspecting for?”

Or, in a world where Itadori Wasuke never died, Yuji has been working as a firefighter, blissfully unaware of curses. He takes care of his grandfather, helps out around the neighborhood, and saves cats from trees in a quiet corner of Sendai.
Megumi, on the other hand, is tired of the jujutsu world. When he comes across a young man too good to be true, he falls for him. And Megumi is perfectly happy keeping Yuji in the dark about jujutsu to preserve their small slice of normalcy.
However, Kenjaku never planned on letting Sukuna's Vessel live in peace forever. Soon enough, his plans would come together, and no meddling sorcerers were going to stand between him and his tools.
