Summary
It's no secret among humans that none of you can remember who you were before Kilima. Most go about their days, leaving the mystery behind them for the new adventures blooming all over the rolling hills in Palia.
You, however, can't seem to let it go as easily. It's been a year since you fell out of the void, and you still haven't adjusted as well as others have done. And while you've forged strong bonds with the Palians (and your heart is home with two wildly different Majiri, regardless of how you refuse to voice the depth of your feelings), something feels...wrong. And the world around you feels ready to shift.
It shouldn't matter. These people depend on you. They are going to need you for the days ahead.
But you can't help but question...should they?

Summary
It was a special day, after all. If only for yourself.
It’s been a year to the day since you fell through the veil into Kilima village. You decide to take note of it in a purely Majiri fashion.
Suppressed feelings, lack of direction and existential dread be damned.

“…and your question is?”
“I don’t…get it. What am I doing—right?”
“…May I see your phone, friend?”
“No—Sunny, please, I just want to understand.”
“I know, troublemaker. Hand it here. And I’ll show you.”

Summary
--
Days in Palia pass by in a blink. You've been here long enough to understand the beauty of this place, as well as the endless fountain of secrets under its rolling hills and marble ruins. Friends made, feelings unexplored; enthralled with a tender enigmatic hunter and a poetic volatile tailor, you try to contend with your heart while the ground you stand on becomes too unsteady to ignore.
Secrets become dangerous, and questions suffocate you as you try to live your simple, comfortable life in a world that seemed all to ready to change. And not entirely for the better.
Sometimes, you wondered if humans were meant to come back. And you wondered, with no small amount of fear, if Embra would ask the same, in the end.

Summary
Lily folds in on herself, quick to deflect and quick to laugh. "Look, whether you come back or not, it's your choice. But you've got something special, Nina. It'd be a shame if you never danced again."
Nina exhales. It's shaky, but there. Lily's pretty, pretty mouth immediately widens in a smile. Not her usual knowing smirk but something softer, almost innocent.
"Just think about it, okay?"
"Okay." Nina agrees, easy as that. As if anything could happen, if only Lily asked for it.

Summary
Lily used to crave hearing Nina speak; watch the delicate skin of her throat as her words washed over her like honey. It was the closest she ever came to thinking about being with a girl again.

Sometimes it's easy to put things back together. Sometimes not so much. In this case, it's worth the effort.
