Summary
“How about framing someone?” he continued, watching the excitement in Thomas’s eyes grow with every passing consonant.
“Depends on who.”
“His name is Saparata Theria,” Fluixon said nonchalantly. He felt rather cool saying that. Maybe he was cringe, but to be cringe was to be free. Well— only when it applied to him, of course.
“I mean… I have no attachments to him.” Thomas tilted his head, brown hair flopping into his eyes. “But don’t you feel a little bad? Throwing the person willing to room with you under the bus?”
“I’m the same as you.” Fluixon shrugged, taking another sip of his drink. “I haven’t known him long enough to feel guilty.”
Thomas shook his head, amused. “So heartless.”
Alternatively, Saps is the scapegoat in every universe, or at least every universe Flux inhabits.

Summary
The wards hummed louder, responding to the spike in magic, or emotion, or whatever fragile equilibrium had just shifted. Gold threads shimmered faintly around the circle, tightening like a held breath.
“You’re not imagining me,” Fluixon reassured him. “I know that’s what your brain is telling you. It’s lying.”
Saparata’s vision blurred. He blinked hard, once, twice, trying to clear it.
“Then why can’t I touch you?” he demanded, gesturing sharply at the wards. “Why is there always something between us?”Alternatively, in a world of magic and mayhem, can a relationship carry on?

Summary
“I wish it didn’t have to end this way,” Saparata breathes at last, the words trembling on the cusp between confession and collapse. They linger—half vapor, half lament—before dissipating into the desolation that encircles them.
“It could not have gone any other way,” Fluixon replies, voice soft yet tectonic, resonating as though the air itself were an instrument of his decree. “I am but an architect, despite what they say. This story—our story—is my cathedral.”
“Flux—”
Fluixon cuts across the syllable, his gaze incandescent with the lucidity of the dying. “And you, my dearest Saps,” he murmurs, “you are the god we worship—terrible, radiant, unknowable. Every prayer I have ever uttered has been a scream in your name.”
Alternatively, Saparata and Fluixon wonder if their obsession is driven by hatred or love.

Summary
“I…” Skylar’s voice cracks, and he curses himself for how small it sounds. He clears his throat and tries again. “I didn’t think you still…” He trails off, the words tangling in his mouth.
Cirrus’s gaze doesn’t waver. “Of course I do,” he says, his tone firm, the vulnerability from earlier replaced with a quiet intensity. “I couldn’t just stop. Even when I wanted to, I—” He exhales sharply, his fingers resuming their restless tugging on the drawstring of his hoodie. “Even when I tried, it didn’t work. It’s you, Skylar. It’s always been you,”
Alternatively, Skylar gets an unexpected visitor.

Summary
“What are you doing here?” Damian demanded, not leaving any room for pleasantries. This was supposed to be his one getaway from everything that haunted his mind; he was supposed to be relaxed, happy, and that would be impossible if Jonathan Samuel Kent was coming.
“Did Dick not tell you?” Jonathan ignored his impoliteness, something he probably learned years ago. “He called me two weeks ago saying that you were going on a road trip and that I could come along with a plus one,”

Summary
“Yoo Joonghyuk?” The reader almost fell backwards as he stared at the man he hadn’t seen in almost 4 years. He still looked as young as the day he met him, which irked Kim Dokja. He scanned the doctor head to toe, nothing changed, his fashion still staying the gothy dark, even his lab coat being custom made black. The only thing that changed, was the silver band on his finger, glittering proudly in the airport’s florescent lights.
“Kim Dokja,” His voice shook, which unnerved Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk seemed so fragile it made him want to puke.

Summary
I struggled to get my hand free, but the man made of iron really did have an iron grip. “Yoo Joonghyuk- let go,” The android didn’t listen of course, but instead dragged me by my hand outside the police station, perfectly natural, as if he wasn’t dragging a grown man behind him. “Do I even weigh anything to you?”
“No, it’s like holding a couple of grapes,” He didn’t look back as he looked around the parking lot, Myself still struggling behind him, I had somehow managed to not spill my coffee, and right then and there I pondered if I should’ve thrown it at him. “Where’s your car?” The parking lot was deserted, moonline shining down made it seem like the perfect area to film a confession.
Alternatively, cop Kim Dokja just came back from vacation.

Summary
"Han Sooyoung please," her reader begged, taking her hand in his, playing with her fingers that had gotten too thin. "Please talk to me,"
She didn't respond, too tired even though she's done nothing that day. She was too tired of loving endlessly and not receiving anything. Too tired of trying to get better because she had hope— hope that would just turn into despair later.
Alternatively, Han Sooyoung is tired of living a life where she isn’t loved by whom she loves the most.

Summary
I realized then that I'd never cried in front of this man, and hurriedly sniffled to try to stop the tears coming down. Unfortunately, they didn't and I just stared up at Yoo Joonghyuk while silently crying, cheeks red from embarrassment and pain.
Unexpectedly, this man brushed away my tears with his thumb, calloused hand holding onto my cheek. It was a action far to intimate for our relationship, even if we were Life and Death Companions.
For a man who was ripping appendages from my back, he was being awfully kind. What a hypocrite.
I shuttered as he leaned down to my ear, whispering something that scared the shit out of me, "You brought this upon yourself, Kim Dokja,"
Alternatively, Kim Dokja keeps disappearing and Yoo Joonghyuk is tired of it.
