Summary
Eddie can count on one hand (or rather, one single finger) the things that would rile him up more than the sight he is currently blessed, no, tormented with, enough to make him want to stab himself with the makeshift spear in his hand.
It's downright pathetic but also kind of impressive, how horny one can get even in the midst of fighting for their life but- if he's being honest to himself, Eddie would not mind dying if this is the last thing he'll get to see before the lights go out on him. There couldn't be a better way to leave this world.
"Eddie, watch out!"
Oh, right.
This is definitely not the time or the place to lose focus.

Summary
Eddie always thought it would be easy. That packing up his old life to start somewhere new would be a cause for celebration. Finally being able to leave this shitty town that caused him so much pain, finally getting away from the place where most of his nightmares are rooted - it's all he wanted for years. But now that the day has finally come, he feels a sadness much greater than any he's felt in a long time.
He doesn't know why he feels so torn, reluctant to sort through the few remaining things he owns to decide what's worth taking and what to get rid of.
Maybe he shouldn't have left the hardest part for last.

Summary
“Look, Harrington. If you’re here to give me the rest, be my guest. But make it quick, please. If you came to buy, sorry. Shop’s closed.”
That’s not how he’d normally confront his enemies. On any other day, he’d counter with overdone dramatics and a grand speech to get on their nerves, giving him at least a fifty percent chance of being left alone because he’s too much of a nuisance to be dealt with. But right now, he is really not in the mood to let his inner freak shine – he just wants this to be over and done with, wants to go home, lick his wounds like a kicked dog.
Harrington, on the other hand, seems to want to drag this out, takes his time to close the distance between them before taking a seat on the bench, unnecessarily close next to him.
“You look like you could use something to help you relax,” Steve says with a suspicious smile, “I might have exactly what you need.”

Summary
Eddie is deep in thought when a knock on his front door demands his attention. He didn’t expect any visitors today but isn’t surprised to find Steve Harrington standing on the steps, greeting him with one of his sunshine smiles before entering unprompted, pushing right past Eddie like he owns the fucking place.
And in a way, he does. Has become such a frequent guest in the Munson house that he doesn’t need to be told to feel at home anymore, just fits right in, easily, like he belongs here.

Summary
What they see, is what Steve wants them to perceive. A view that doesn’t go deeper than the sparkling surface of a lake reflecting sunlight, diverting from the sludge and cadavers concealed in the muddy water below.
Displaying the misleading image of the golden boy he never truly was.
... There’s only one pair of eyes he fears could break through the shield. The one that keeps following his every move, with a persistence that makes his skin crawl. Eyes so piercing, they’re cutting him right to the bone. Haunting him, even in his dreams, like he’s possessed.

Summary
Pain.
What even is pain?
Steve thought he knew the meaning of the word, at least to some degree, but this? This isn’t the kind of pain he’s gotten so used to, that every blow to his head, every new cut, and every broken bone felt as familiar as breathing.
This ache is different.

It's impossible.
He was gone. And there was nothing they could've done to bring him back.
And yet, there he is, right in front of him.

Summary
Eddie is having a staring contest with the backside of one particular pair of snug-fitting jeans, when a bump to his shoulder brings his attention back to the person next to him.
“So, are you gonna kiss him tonight?”
Jeff’s shit-eating grin beams at him, teasing him with the kind of impish sarcasm only a best friend can get away with.
“Or are you running away like always, coward.”

Summary
Eddie's drifting, weightlessly falling in slow motion. Sinking deeper as his mind slips into blissful thoughtlessness.
He lets his head fall against the backrest of his office chair, mouth falling open to let out a satisfied sigh, tongue dipping out to lick his bottom lip where he can still taste the sweetness of Steve's kiss.
"Fuck, baby. Feels so good."

Summary
"Polar Express. You chose that movie over The Gremlins? Who are you and what have you done to my Doofus?"
Eddie tries his best to follow but none of it makes sense. They're at Steve's for movie night, and when it was one vote against the other, he went with Steve's choice. That's all he did.
"I know what you're playing here, mister," she continues, "And I sure hope your intentions are pure and honest or I'll kick your ass so hard you'll feel it for weeks."
Robin closes the remaining distance and stops right before him, jabbing her index finger unnecessarily hard against his sternum.
"You might think your clever but I see you, Eddie. You better not toy with him. He deserves better."

Summary
It’s a nightmare to be trapped here. Snowed in, alone with Eddie Munson.
Robin and Chrissy were supposed to be here with them; they’re the reason why Steve even agreed to this stupid weekend trip to an isolated cabin. But they’re stuck a few towns over, probably cosied up in a hotel room for the night.
The roads are blocked, thanks to unforeseen weather changes, so right now, there’s no coming in or getting out of this hell.

Summary
Steve’s going to kill him.
They’re already late because of him; Eddie should’ve been ready 15 minutes ago but didn’t get in the shower on time, which then led to him taking forever to dry his hair. And of course he hadn’t thought about what he wanted to wear beforehand, taking forever to decide.
And now, because that wasn’t enough, his fucking zipper got stuck halfway to pulling it up.

Summary
Eddie thinks he’s moving but his feet aren’t touching the ground. Is he flying? No, that can’t be right.
He knows for a fact that he doesn’t have wings or superpowers that could carry him through the air. There must be a better explanation, but it’s hard to think straight with how dizzy and tired he feels. Maybe if he keeps his eyes shut for a little longer and takes a short nap, he’ll be able to concentrate better.
“Don’t you dare,” the voice warns him and he recognises the sound of it now, would recognise Steve always and everywhere. “Come on, man. Open your eyes. I need you to stay awake for me, okay?”

Summary
“There’s my favourite customer!” a friendly voice greets Eddie when he enters the shop, immediately feeling the stress of the day dissipate when his eyes catch sight of the familiar face he’s been excited to see all day.
“One TripleC comin’ right up, just how you like it,” the barista calls, and Eddie’s stomach coils.
He keeps his cool, mirrors the smile beaming back at him from the other side of the counter to deflect from the way his nose scrunches involuntarily. His smile is real, but everything inside him writhes at the thought of having to down another one of those nasty concoctions.

Summary
Eddie didn't mean to snoop around.
He'd never invade someone's privacy like that, it just happened accidentally. And it wasn't even his fault, like, at all. Because it was Steve who asked him to fetch his hoodie for him. Directed him straight to the left side of his closet like he didn't spare a single thought on what Eddie might find there.
Maybe he forgot where he put it - but now Eddie is cursed to never forget that he saw it.

Summary
That's just his luck. Or maybe it's the universe's way of trying to teach him a lesson. Telling him, 'See, that's what you get for not setting your priorities right.'
He knew it was stupid to book the last possible flight out to make it just in time for Christmas. Thinking it would be worth working overtime, alone in the empty office building, when everyone else had already left to spend time with their loved ones.
Worth for what?
All he got as a payout is a once-delayed now cancelled flight with no alternative in sight.

Summary
Eddie didn't survive just to witness another tragedy unfold right before his eyes, even if he's partly responsible for it.
It sucks, but how could he have known that Steve would actually listen to him? No one ever should listen to his advice outside of D&D and music. Especially not when it comes to relationships.
He wants to rip his hair out every time he's reminded of his speech, for being so insanely stupid. It was self-defence, sure, but in hindsight, it did more harm that the truth ever could've.

Summary
a few months ago, he didn’t think he’d ever get to celebrate another holiday with Wayne. Expected to be dead or at least locked up in prison, but for some miracle reason, he’s still here. Alive, and mostly well, and with a whole new appreciation for the time he’s given to spend with the people he loves.
That’s why he wants to make Christmas extra special.
(...) None of it would be possible without Steve’s help, though.

Summary
Steve's heart is racing, eyes burning holes through the envelope in his hand - no address, no name, just three words written in scrawly letters on the back of it: 'RETURN TO SENDER'
How can a letter return that has never been sent out in the first place?
