Summary
Life must go on, even after something as devastatingly destructive as the Sorceress War. Decisions need to be made and missions completed. Squall deals with the stress and pressure in private and continues to be the perfect commander for the public. He is fine. Everything is fine.
Seifer may not remember everything that happened when he was a Knight but it's in the past, no reason to dwell on it, right? Well so he thought, until a chance encounter brings on an unpleasant fact that 1) there are more sides to Squall than he knows and 2) the past never stays in the past.
Some wounds need more than just time to heal.

Summary
Seifer. It was undeniably Seifer standing there, sizing him up. Utterly unprepared, Squall froze in place. Having found no resolution to what had happened during the war, the mere mention of the ex-knight's name at an unguarded moment was enough to send his chest clenching. The actual sight of his childhood rival, the man very real and just a few feet away, was far worse. All thoughts of Rinoa were effectively disrupted as Squall stood transfixed, his mind refusing to grapple with the highly unlikely encounter. Any past plans or notions on what he'd do when offered the chance to confront Seifer bled from him as his eyes raked the man in front of him. He didn't feel the expected rage or even relief. His legs wouldn't move. His hands didn't clench into fists. Instead Squall found himself cataloging every single change in the tall blond with a detached attention to detail. Anything to keep his mind from derailing.~ o ~
Or the one where Seifer persuades Squall to take drugs, they have mad sex and everything spirals from there as they both have trouble dealing with the repercussions.

His very existence meant the hunt would never stop, but that hadn't stopped Zoro from falling for him and it wouldn't push him away now. Sanji was what was called a "negligible senescent porphyric humanoid." "Vampire" looked weird on medical records.
