He considers what his parents expect from a girlfriend- pretty, poised, intelligent, amiable, diligent- someone generally liked. Then, he considers the opposite, contemplates what would undeniably piss them off- someone arrogant and grumpy, callous and rude- and a boy. Hinata grins with delight at this particular idea, because if he brought home a disagreeable girlfriend, his parents would be mad, sure. But if he brought home a boyfriend, they’d practically be begging him to be single again. It’s foolproof- as long as Hinata can find someone to go along with it.
