He sucks on the small wound, putting the needle and the thread aside, next to the torn dress on the floor where he sits cross-legged, alone in the middle of the room.

The Manor is a circus.
Renoir is not one for cut-out decorations; his hands were made for painting and holding, but he meticulously made and placed garlands in every possible place, including bathrooms. Verso shut himself in his room since early morning, depriving himself even of his morning coffee — his latest revelation — under the pretense of finishing a 'masterpiece’. Only Aline seems to have her usual stoic composure intact, dieu merci. That is, until Clea finds her decorating a birthday cake with small sugarcane brushes.
The Manor is a circus, and Clea doesn’t know how she got sucked into playing a monkey part in it, but the youngest child only turns four once, she guesses. And she still has no idea what gift to give Alicia. Not that a four-year-old will remember it anyway.Series
