Summary
On the Valentines Day Hajime turned 17, like most people, Hajime was assigned a soulmate. Hajime had searched for him, but in the process, Hajime had fallen in love with Nagito Komaeda instead. When Hajime learned Nagito was his soulmate, he wasn't sure what to think, scared Nagito wouldn't ever want to be with him. But when Hajime confessed and Nagito told him he felt the same way, Hajime couldn't be happier.
Nagito Komaeda was convinced he was too awful to have a soulmate, but now he has Hajime, the boy he loves more than anything, saying he loves him too. He's more happy than he ever thought he'd be allowed, but the idea terrifies him and he can't help but worry he'll do it wrong and Hajime is going to change his mind. He's sure it'll end in despair, because this wonderful hope isn't made for someone like him. What he didn't account for is that Hajime loves him endlessly, and now that he's found him, he doesn't ever plan to go anywhere.
Alternately: The hit sequel to Can You See My Heart In My Memories? is finally here!! Hajime and Nagito are together now and they couldn't be happier, but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot more to come. The hope for the future is bright, but who knows what might happen?

Summary
Hajime has known for a long time that nothing will ever be the same again. Neither the world in ruins, nor his friends, nor even himself. Nothing would ever be the same again.
No matter how many times one tried to reconstruct a vase, there will always be a vestige that it was once broken. Because innocence cannot be recovered once stolen, and mistakes cannot be erased once committed.
He knew this and had accepted it calmly.
That's why he never expected to return to before the tragedy. To when Hope's Peak still stood and Junko Enoshima hadn't yet plunged the world into despair.
The universal law of cause and effect dictates that every action has a consequence, even if it isn't witnessed.
To his pity (or fortune), it would be his mind that would remain as the stain of what had happened... Even if he didn't want it to.

No importaba cuántas veces se intentara reconstruir un jarrón; siempre va a quedar un vestigio de que una vez estuvo roto. Porque la inocencia no se puede recuperar una vez robada y los errores no se pueden borrar una vez cometidos.
Lo sabía y lo había aceptado con tranquilidad.
Es por eso que nunca esperó volver a antes de la tragedia. A cuando Hope’s Peak aún se mantenía en pie y Junko Enoshima aún no sumía al mundo en la desesperación.
La ley universal de causa y efecto establece que cada acción tiene una consecuencia, aun si esta no se atestigua.

Nagito Komaeda is one of the three most popular kids in Hope’s Peak Academy. A close-knit group of friends who were rich, fashionable, and gorgeous. Nagito knows with popularity comes power, and with power comes privileges, and he’s just lucky to be a part of it.
Hajime Hinata is just a random new kid. Well, he would’ve been, if he hadn’t immediately befriended the second most popular clique in Hope’s Peak Academy. The rivaling group to the, more or less, “despair trio” Nagito Komaeda, Junko Enoshima, and Kokichi Oma make up. Nagito’s insurance for a good future is in his group, and Hajime… well, Hajime could give two shits about popularity and all that crap.
But there are reasons things are the way they are. You don’t get to the top just by being pretty. You don’t become so close to another person with just time. You won’t get so powerful just by being a good person.
Even so, Nagito and Hajime are pretty different. So why do they find such comfort in each other?

In a different version of the tale you know, Kyoko ends up getting involved a bit too early than Junko anticipated thanks to the recovery of a certain Escape Button, and seeks to confront the Mastermind. Unfortunately, as Kyoko is quick to learn, 'no' doesn't mean 'no' in Junko's vocabulary.
