Summary
After an angry mob of civilians attack and almost kill six year old Naruto Uzumaki, he flees into the woods surrounding Konoha, and finds a home in a hidden lab complex. It's within this lab that Naruto makes contact with a very dangerous substance, only to emerge smarter and much more sensitive to his surroundings.
Of course remaining in perfect isolation was never going to be possible. Not when to do so meant giving up on what Naruto wanted most.

Summary
Panam had pretty much lost it all. Her clan, her Warhorse, her dignity... the few things she had to her name as a nomad. Ex-nomad? She didn't even know anymore. But there's a way to fix it all, and maybe make a friend along the way with a distinctive golden arm and Texan drawl on a timetable.
But only when you have things to lose do you realize how fragile it all is, most of all your relationships.

NB: I have crossposted this story to Royalroad under the title System Override.
A forced experimental drug treatment at an early age has saddled David with an immense burden.
His mother’s insistence on his current lifepath as a corpo has done much the same.
David is a speeding ball of fire hurtling towards an unknown destination, and his mother’s death has left him adrift and unsure of his direction.
So he does what any teenager with no more fucks left to give does—he chips in some mil-spec chrome and looks for a quick way to earn edds, all the while learning to utilize the nanotechnology that had been forced on him as a child—finding out the immense potential within him as a result.
Corpo or Edgerunner? Why not both? And why not the best of both while we’re fucking at it?
