For SOME REASON, I decided to try reading a Gor book the other day. It was. . . . very bad. I mean, I wasn't expecting it to be GOOD, but. . . . it was very bad. And then I went exploring for info about the people in the "lifestyle" and. . . . it was even worse. Then I tripped and made sort of a parody-slash-fix-it fic, in which a group of women on Gor twist the laws to their advantage. It's not much, but I hope somebody gets a giggle out of it. JSYK, this fic is appropriate for all audiences but nothing about the actual Gor books or lifestyle should be consumed by -- well, ANYONE, honestly, but particularly minors.
Clarification from some years later: that sounds really judgmental coming from an irl kinkster who writes serial killer porn, doesn’t it? Look, I’m sure there are ppl who do Gor play/lifestyle in a safe sane and consensual way, and I’m sorry I was a dick about it. Unfortunately those are NOT the people I encountered when looking this up that night, so I reacted pretty strongly against the concerning things I was seeing. The writing is still terrible though, not apologizing for that part.

Summary
Eddie is in a coma, and Buck blames himself. He should've been there to protect Eddie. The least he can do now is to be there for Christopher, even if Buck doesn't know if he has it in him to be a parent without Eddie. Buck makes Eddie a deal: he'll fight for Christopher in the real world, while Eddie fights to wake up.
Eddie's come a long way since those bleak days in El Paso, listening to his parents comments about how he's not fit to be a father. How Christopher doesn't deserve to be dragged down by the likes of Eddie and Shannon. Eddie thought after moving to LA, he and Chris had escaped that. When he wakes up and finds Buck neck-deep in a legal battle with his parents for custody of Christopher, Eddie must face his own mistakes, and find the confidence to stand up for himself against his absolute worst nightmare.
