Buck’s stomach drops. Every horrible situation is flitting through his mind. “Is it Chris?”
“No, no,” Eddie breathes out shakily, exhaling as if he’s in pain. “It’s me. Buck, I think something’s really wrong with me.”

Post lawsuit, Buck is finally back with the team and he’s made up, but his mental health couldn’t be lower. He becomes closed off and tries his best not to be a burden to the team. During a call, he’s trapped with Eddie and secrets start spilling out when the both get hurt. Will the team realize just how broken their youngest member is? Will they be enough? Will Buck survive another set back that brings back his PTSD.

Summary
On Friday night, Buck showed up at the Diaz house after his shift with an armful of pizza and what looked like half the board games out of the game cabinet at the 118. On Saturday, he worked a twelve-hour shift, but he texted Eddie nearly every hour, sending pictures of the book Hen was reading and long rants about the fight he and Chim were in over the viability of modern-day gladiator fights and ranked lists of which Masterchef Junior seasons Eddie should watch first. On Sunday, he got there just before Chris woke up and started making waffles before Eddie was awake enough to be sure what was happening.
And on Friday night and Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, Eddie was in love with him.
