Summary
For a guy his size, Buck was agile and nimble on his feet under any other circumstance. But on the layer of ice, having to trust the thin blade at the bottom of the skate to keep him standing, he was an uncoordinated mess.
With a deep breath, he took a step onto the ice — his right hand still clutching onto the side. Very, very slowly, he started to shift his feet, barely moving an inch across the ice. He looked up from his feet and saw Chimney and Jee, the distance between them growing by the second.
Not wanting to be left behind, he pushed his foot across the ice to gain some momentum, but immediately faltered his stepping; sending himself flying and colliding into something solid and firm.
Well, someone.

Summary
After Eddie convinces him to give speed-dating a try, Buck finds a match that he never expected.
The other chair at his little table drags across the floor as someone pulls it out. Buck swallows, close to nervous, and tries to put on his friendliest smile without dipping immediately into flirtation.
"Hi," he says, "I'm…" He trails off as he glances up and gets his first good look over at the person in the seat across from him. It's not the cute, fair-skinned blonde with the eyebrow ring, or the tall woman with the dark lipstick and shiny pants. It's not any of the women he'd casually noticed milling about before the event started. In fact, it's not a woman at all.
"Hi," the man says, giving him a crooked smile, his eyes bright and teasing. Buck flushes.

Summary
In the wake of another bust during his apartment hunt, Buck winds up at the place he feels safest - with Tommy. A shared night ends in a shared morning, setting Buck on a path of realization and growth. He has to examine where his place is and whether he can continue existing in the exceedingly suffocating environment of the firehouse that was once his home.
Choices must be made, and perhaps, it is for the best if Buck does like everyone says and is actually selfish.
