Summary
Everything had gone to plan, Dumbledore had seen the end of the First Wizarding War. Certainly he had lost more than a few, but Harry Potter was still alive and well. He was currently tucked away in Surrey with his Muggle Family. He could contently wait for the boy to come of age now, and continue the last of the prophecy. Until an owl landed on his desk, providing him with the news he had not expected.

Summary
Harry Potter has been living at Hogwarts for most of his life under the primary care of Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall - safe, happy and loved. That is, until one fateful night in 1989, when he is kidnapped by Death Eaters and taken straight to Lord Voldemort.
At first, the plan is simple: obtain the prophecy, torture the boy, kill the boy… but then Voldemort discovers that Harry is a horcrux, and everything changes.
Trapped on an island manor with a monster - hurt, homesick and more scared than he’s ever been in his life - all Harry can do is try to survive the terrible new world he finds himself in, and perhaps – maybe – eventually – find a way back home.

Voldemort took a graceful step forward, the air around him clinging close and darkening as if he had called the shadows to accompany him. "Mine to harm," he continued, his voice a soft. "Mine to conquer. Mine to defeat. Mine to torture. Mine... to kill."
Red eyes bore into green, staring intently as if peering into his very soul."And mine..." His magic brushed against Harry, nearly suffocating with its potency, choking him and binding him all at once, marking him for a fate he never wanted. "... to decide when to kill."
Harry returned from the graveyard to a world drunk on lies and fear only to be taken prisoner by Voldemort right from under Dumbledore's nose. One month wasting away in captivity left him empty, haunted by the deaths of those stolen from him.

Summary
Harry Potter never shows up at Hogwarts. The papers are saying that he's dead, which is probably true, given the muggles that were supposed to keep him claim they have never known a Harry Potter. Just like that, the Light falls into shambles, turning their wands against each other because of their own incompetence to keep their Savior safe.
Nineteen years later, a witch goes to Harmony Home orphanage to speak with the priest responsible for the orphanage and the magical education of one of the children. The priest shows up to talk to her, the child glued against his leg, and her eyes land on that legendary lightning bolt scar, on those Avada green eyes, and she recognizes him immediately.
