    Summary

    Thorin and Co. come to Mirkwood to for negotiations. Midway, a kid Legolas enters. Predictably, the dwarves are shocked that Thranduil has a kid - and an adorable one at that!

    Thranduil shows his caring side, as well as his utter inability to refuse Legolas anything. The dwarves are somewhat charmed. Thorin discovers (from an unsuspecting Legolas) that affairs in Mirkwood are not as good as they think.

    If nothing else, the dwarves have learnt that they share at least one things in common with the elves: Their love for children.

    Chapter 1: Set after the beheading of the orc in the Desolation of Smaug. Thranduil returns to his chambers, fearing a second Dagorlad.
    Chapter 2: Legolas finds out about his father's injury
    Chapter 3: Thranduil is recovering in Imladris
    Chapter 4: Thranduil takes part in a meeting of the White Council in Imladris and is deeply annoyed by a certain white Istar
    Chapter 5: Thranduil finally makes it to the library ^^
    Epilogue: After the destruction of the One Ring Elrond decides to sail with a heavy heart leaving Thranduil behind. Will Thranduil follow him even though he despises the Valar so much?

    Thranduil turned out a little more tormented and dark than originally intended.^^

    The relationship turns into something more in the epilogue. But the other chapters can be read by non-shippers as well (only friendship in them).
