Summary
The Scarlet Snitch is a post war fic that diverges from canon when Draco lays down his wand and accepts Dumbledore's offer of protection, ergo dragging his relieved mother, his reluctant father, and their money onto the side of the Order. When it becomes clear to Voldemort that he won’t be able to gain control of an England backed by Malfoy money and the children of those he murdered and tortured during the first war, he sets his sights on an unsuspecting and unprepared France and quickly gains control there. Now, England has emerged from the war comparatively unscathed and the general public has romanticized the cause a little. They see their returning armies as heroes and are ready to celebrate victory. France, on the other hand, has not faired as well during the 4 year war. All suspected of supporting or aiding Voldemort are arrested and tried. While the courts are trying to restore order and justice, a radical faction calling itself Guillotine pursues vengeance. Many that have been found innocent have ended up dead. In the midst of the chaos, a mysterious hero, known only as The Scarlet Snitch, has been snatching prisoners and fugitives right out from under the eye of Guillotine and delivering them to safety.

“Lavender, please talk to me. Is Ron here?”
Lavender looked up, her eyes still wide, her breath catching as she tried to speak. “Yes, but he isn’t… He isn’t…” She let out a shuddering breath that turned into a strangled wail.
Hermione signaled Pansy to look inside the house and Pansy started up the garden path, drawing her wand.
“I think I killed him.” Lavender blurted out.
Pansy spun back around. For a moment, the three women just looked at each other in shocked silence. Lavender clapped her hands over her mouth in horror at her own words. Hermione blinked rapidly as she tried to process what she had just heard and keep her expression neutral. Pansy was the first to speak, looking pointedly at Hermione. “What were you saying earlier about not needing to hide a body?”
*This is a cozy, small town tale of murder, margaritas, and mayhem where justice might not arrive strictly within the letter of the law.

Radio Host (Theo): Let’s get right into tonight’s Second Date Update! For first time listeners, every evening we try to help out someone who’s had a first date and thought it went really well, but can’t get a second date. Tonight’s case is especially interesting and one that we thought Pansy might have specific insight into. We got an owl from a listener who calls himself Lucas. He went on a blind date with a girl who turned out to be an old school mate. He thought things went pretty well considering their history and wants to see her again, but he can’t get a response to any of his owls.
Pansy: Intriguing! Have we got him on the floo?
Theo: We do. Lucas you're on the air. Wait, why are you wearing a balaclava?
Lucas: Ahem. No reason. They're just terribly comfortable. I'm shy? I just applied moisturizer.
