Summary
Durin does not heed "curiosity killed the cat," and it was a relatively reasonable decision, given his life experiences thus far. Unfortunately, this is the one time he, perhaps, should have curbed his desire for knowledge, as he promptly lands somewhere almost completely unfamiliar, cut off from his friends and family. He adapts the ways only someone born of a Storybook can: Durin hides in plain sight, makes as many friends as possible, and does his best not to let things spiral out of control.
