“The mission involves making contact with the target – Naruto Uzumaki, and persuading him to affiliate with Konoha in the capacity of a shinobi and accept refuge within our village. If this doesn’t work out, you will have to tail Naruto or convince him to let you travel alongside him, to protect him, no matter what. Up until the time that Naruto is safely brought to Konoha or you encounter the Akatsuki and defeat them, you will have to stick by Naruto’s side.”
At the age of twelve, Naruto Uzumaki leaves Konoha, the night before graduation. Years later, the threat of the Akatsuki becomes all too real and keeping Naruto safe becomes Konoha’s topmost priority. A team of seven is sent after Naruto, to protect him no matter what.
The thing is: unaffiliated, jaded and thoroughly independent Naruto isn’t the type to appreciate a bunch of ninjas barging into his life one day, demanding that he let them protect him. He’s been fine on his own so far so why are they so adamant to stick by his side? And why is he being chased by a bunch of weirdos wearing freaky capes?

“Yuuji~” Nobara and Maki stumble out of the wall of people to his left. “Maki threatened the DJ to play that one song you are obsessed with.” Nobara giggles, holding onto Maki to stop herself from falling over.
The look Maki gives her makes Yuuji’s chest ache.
“I wouldn’t say threatened, it was more like violent bribing.” She smiles at him, affection still playing across her lips, but when her eyes meet his, her face falls. He’s always worn his heart on his sleeve, and tonight is no different. “What’s wrong?”

Or... Nobara and Maki take Yuuji out to help cheer him up after his recent breakup, but what they didn't expect was to see his ex with his so-called best friend on his arm.

There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.
