“El was right when she said I was painting for someone I liked. But this is the only painting. I didn’t make another one.”
“I don’t…I don’t understand.”
He finally meets his gaze, eyes desperate. “El didn’t commission the painting, Mike.”
Or: After finding out Mike is marked for death by Vecna, he and Will return to the Wheelers' house to retrieve Mike's Walkman. Instead, they find the aftermath of the demo attack on Mike's family, as well as a certain painting that leads to secrets being revealed.

Summary
“She’s grown on me. Robin. She seems good for you.”
There is a slight edge to her voice that has Will quickly meeting her gaze. Her lips are quirked up at the corners, and her eyebrow is cocked knowingly. It takes Will a minute to process what she’s insinuating, because the idea seems so ridiculous. But when realization sets in, his eyes widen, and it takes everything in him not to burst into laughter.
“Oh god, Mom, no,” he says, shaking his head frantically. “We’re not… No. Just no. It’s not like that. We’re just friends.”
What if he just told her?
Would it be the end of the world?
No, the end of the world is already happening, and it has nothing to do with his sexuality.

“Hi, my name is Mark. I’m part of Harry’s team,” he says, keeping his face neutral and strictly professional. “He requested you three to be brought backstage immediately after the set.”
“All of us?” Eddie hears himself ask before he can think about it.
“All of you, yes,” Mark repeats.
Buck’s eyes are wide as saucers. “Does he uh— Does he usually bring people backstage like this?”
“Not since before the pandemic.”
“Did he say what for?” Chris asks.
“Nope.” Mark either seems to be pressed for time or simply just doesn’t care, because he doesn’t elaborate. “I’ll come get you during Kiwi, and let you through the barrier. You’ll follow me along this way to the backstage entrance. Don't tell anyone else where you're going, and cell phones will be confiscated before you are allowed inside. Got it?”
They all nod at him in response, wide-eyed and in a mild state of shock. No one says anything until he walks away.
“Holy shit,” Chris blurts.
Or: When Eddie finds himself attending Love On Tour with Buck and Chris, one night changes the course of his life forever.

“Guys, Mike’s not like me, he just can’t name characters.” They both give him a pointed look, clearly not believing a word. “I’m serious, every character is a reference to someone we know.”
“Are they now?” Dustin raises an eyebrow at him.
“Yes!” Will is perhaps a bit exasperated, “Stephen and Jay are clearly Steve and Robin, and James is Hopper,” at the blank look they give him, he clarifies, “his first name is Jim.”
This somehow only makes Lucas seem more unimpressed, “okay, but you do see how that’s more suspicious right?”
“What? That Mike can’t come up with names?”
“No,” Lucas shakes his head and clasps Will in the shoulder, “that the first name Mike thought to cannibalize when coming up with a boyfriend for you was his own”.The party grows closer after Will moves in with the Wheelers, picking up D&D again. It all goes well until Mike introduces a new character, Sir. Gabriel Whepler, whose sole purpose seems to be flirting with Will.
