Summary
Another Elisabet lives AU through the events of Horizon Forbidden West and I add my humble cake to the buffet table. Excerpt:
It was stupid, childish, to fear one woman's reaction to her existence. After all, Aloy had faced down men three times her size, deadly hunter-killers, and extinction-crazed AI's--what was meeting the woman she was based on compared to all that? But still, the fear of rejection was there. Setting aside her childish desires to avoid her own pain, Aloy was forced to recognize that she needed Elisabet. Harry sank, wide-eyed, to the bottom of the tank, a massive lump in his throat. Hermione nudged Ron with her foot, tipping her head towards Harry reprovingly. Ron dragged his eyes up again and grimaced.
“Not that… not that I think you’d do those things,” Ron said awkwardly, glancing at Hermione and then shuddering. “But… you could.”
Harry shook his head, curling his nauseatingly flexible tail against the smooth walls of the tank. He hadn't meant to imperio Hermione - he'd never!

This felt like a test. Perhaps they were trying to see how mentally unstable their Captain was. Luckily, he could, in full honesty, reassure them that he was not weak. He had a strong lock on his emotions and hadn’t even cried once since he unfroze. He could operate at full capacity in this century despite not knowing what a ‘Rom-Com’ is.
“Not even once.”
Steve missed the furrowed brows, and concerned looks shot around the room. He tried his best to isolate himself in the Avengers Tower. If anyone could expose his vulnerability, it was this team. S.H.I.E.L.D. had been less of a threat because Fury was more than willing to believe whatever Steve told him as long as he got results. This team of super spies, geniuses, and gods? They had no reason to sit back and allow an incompetent and weak man to lead them. It was necessary to avoid allowing them to see the cracks in his armor, or they may bench him. If Steve got benched, there was nothing left for him in this century.
