Summary
Akashi Seijūrō always presume he inherited more after that man, molded since the first time he's born to this world to be the embodiment of the man's motto - with the exception of his own face that resemble too much of a long-deceased mother.
As he watches the consequences of his own sins unfolds, Kuroko's hope and dream that he crushed, Mayuzumi whom he wronged to, thousand secrets he hides from Nijimura, deserving anger Midorima hold for him, and the body that slowly resemble his own mother's withering one, he is left to deal with the circumstances beyond his control for the 4th time since his defeat at the hands of Kuroko Tetsuya.

Hikaru croaked slightly, eyes flicking up to meet mine through my curtain of dark bangs. I could only clench the small, hard mishappen object through my shirt pocket. It felt strange, knowing that was a part of him. I was the reason he was so weak right now, and was losing control of himself.
If only I had trusted him from the beginning.
My hand comes up, hesitant before threading through the fluffy white locks of hair, which 'Hikaru' gladly leans into.

Yoshiki had died that night on the mountain, and what stood in his place wasn’t him, but something else. It wore his body, mimicked his voice, but the warmth that Hikaru had always known was gone. Instead, there was a thing that couldn’t understand love, but craved it. A thing that wanted to keep Hikaru close, to protect him, but with a twisted sense of ownership.
Hikaru felt it, the difference. The affection was real, but it wasn’t right. This thing, this creature, had no idea what it was doing. But it needed him—needed to believe it was Yoshiki, needed to cling to whatever human emotions it could borrow.
Hikaru couldn't look away. It was Yoshiki’s body, his face, his memories. But not his soul. And the longer he stayed, the more he wondered if he was lying to himself, convincing himself that love could exist in something so broken, so wrong. He couldn't run. Not from the thing that replaced his friend. And not from the twisted love it gave. Even if it meant accepting something that wasn’t real.
