Summary
General Iroh insists the spirits are just showing off their sense of humor. Zuko and Katara aren’t convinced. Nothing about this situation seems funny to them.
If being banished wasn’t bad enough, losing his firebending right when the Avatar is finally within reach is enough to turn Zuko’s world upside-down. Katara isn’t any happier when her journey toward the North Pole is interrupted by the disappearance of her waterbending. Burdened by one another’s elements, Zuko and Katara have to work together to find a way to set things right.

Summary
Katara and Toph go to the tea shop and discover Zuko is waiting tables way earlier than in the show. Slower exploration of Zuko's life as a tea server. Also the Dai Li are terrible customers. The Gaang ends up coming to Zuko's aid, but that might make things worse.
Eventual and slight Zutara feels because I ship it like I'm a playwright for the Ember Island Players. But I also suck at anything remotely romantic so ... you have to squint to see it. And I try to be fair to all canon ships.

Summary
The Avatar couldn't bring himself to kill Ozai during Sozin's Comet. With only vague threats from a re-vanished Avatar to keep the Fire Lord in check, Ozai moves with not-very-subtle political aggression to finish subduing the world. Three years after the comet, a message reaches the Southern Water Tribe. Katara would protect her people at any cost, even if it means coming face-to-face with the Fire Lord himself. Aang had his chance to end the war, now it's Katara's turn to finish what the Fire Nation started.
//Extremely canon divergent in its entirety//

Summary
'They like to think that he is totally clueless. And alright, so sometimes he is ok? But Sokka isn’t an idiot. A fool, yeah, he admits, he can be rather … foolish. But an idiot? Nah.
He thinks he notices it before the others do. I mean, of course he does, that’s his sister we’re talking about and Sokka knows more about her than anyone.'
In which a not clueless Sokka slightly antagonizes his baby sister and her not-so-secret Fire Prince boyfriend.
