A dissection of how the bending might work in the Avatar Universe, taking in both the Lion Turtle introducing Aang to Energybending - something that apparently everyone did before Avatars were around -
& yet, in Korra & the episodes with the 1st Avatar, Wan is running around in a world where benders already exists & if he uses Energybending to be the 1st person to learn all 4 types, he's the 1st one to do so.
I tried to explain the discrepancy as a thought experiment while thinking of some other scenes & themes that are interwoven throughout both series. [The scene where the Sun Warriors show Zuko & Aang Sunbending should probably come to mind.]
