One day, after Gon's latest breakup, he sighs and jokes:

Summary
Gon Freecs was the exact opposite of what a tiger hybrid should be; meek, anxious, timid. A pushover. Due to the oddity of his, well, lack of nature, he’d always been a loner growing up.
Killua Zoldyck lived in the eye of the public as the ‘Industry’s Doll’. The sheep hybrid maintained a docile persona but behind his mask was a calculating edge that unnerved even predators.
The two are completely different in every aspect with contrasting backgrounds, yet come together in an unexpected fit.
