Summary
Access to light, clean bedding, or a warm meal was considered a privilege within the structures of Hydra. A glimpse of these comforts could only be granted to a soldier who followed orders. Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death. At least, that’s what he believed—until a threat from the outside emerged, the one his superiors had warned him about: the Avengers.
Yet for some unclear reason, this group wanted to save him. Especially Tony Stark, the Merchant of Death, saw something in him that Peter himself could not see. For reasons unknown to Peter, Stark wanted to take care of him and show him that the world still had much to offer.

Summary
It’s the holiday season, and Varian’s coming back to Corona for the first time in three years. It’s supposed to be a good thing, or so he tells himself. A chance to be with his dad, to reconnect with his childhood friends.
When he discovers Hugo is also home for the holidays, he doesn’t care. He doesn’t. So what if they were maybe a little bit in love when they were teenagers? So what if Hugo had unapologetically left Varian utterly heartbroken? It’s not like he’s still hung up on him.
Despite this unforeseen… challenge, Varian is determined to not let Hugo get to him in any way. But when he starts to realize that this isn’t the same boy who’d left him, and that maybe there’s something left between them… well, you know what they say.
Tis the damn season.
