It was wishful thinking. It had to be the truth. Glinda may not know much but she knew performance, and the more she thought about it the better it fit. Elphaba’s death didn’t make sense. Glinda had seen it with her own eyes and had stupidly believed that was proof it had happened.
Elphaba’s melting shadow had been wearing the hat. Glinda wasn’t sure of the scientification of melting, but surely either all or none of her clothes should have melted. Surely Elphaba herself shouldn’t have melted. Fiyero’s body was missing, and Elphaba’s hat was in her hands.
Glinda stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she realized she must have been crying. She looked crazy. It didn’t matter.

POV of Bianca, Yoko, and Divina noticing the dynamic shifting between Wednesday and Enid.
The day to day routine for Wednesday and Enid was, after a good amount of repetition, perfect for the two of them. From waking up to falling asleep everything would move like gears in a well oiled machine and this was exactly the way Wednesday preferred it. Enid? Not so much. Of course she went along with it and was pleased to see her roommate adjusting times slowly to find what worked for them both instead of rushing Enid through things. It was like a dance they did, choreographed and rehearsed to perfection. To anyone that did not speak to them daily it would appear that the two were simply in sync, however, their friends that saw them in all of their shared classes and sat with them during meals seemed to sense something more than being in sync.

Wednesday Addams never returned to Nevermore for a second year, nor did she return for a year. She had completely left Nevermore, and her heart with a certain werewolf. Once again, she moved from school to school, before finally settling down in Cambridge University where unexpectedly, she met Enid Sinclair once again, as classmates.
Yet, they never interacted with one another. One too afraid to reach out, the other too peeved to reach out. This continued until after finals, where they were forced to interact when Wednesday called the only saved contact on her phone to help get her away from the Christmas Party, she found herself stuck in.
