A young Elven woman named Eryndil is torn from her simple, peaceful life in a village lying on the outskirts of Mirkwood forest and brought to the grandeur of Mirkwood, after she learns she is the long-lost daughter of King Thranduil and sister to Legolas.
Struggling to adjust to the cold formality of palace life and the overwhelming expectations placed upon her, Eryndil grapples with fear, resentment, and homesickness.Written from multiple perspectives, and set prior to Smaug’s taking of Erebor.
