The territory becomes more crowded with the appearance of the coven. War rages in the next territory and Chan has made a deal with the newcomer vampires in the hopes of deterring it from spreading to yours as well. While you can't deny it's a likely necessary move, you also can't help but feel that it's incredibly risky. An encounter with three of your new neighbors- one of whom is all too eager to make your acquaintance- might go a long way toward changing your perspective.

Choosing 'Romeo and Juliet' was partially for laughs and partially because it's practically a theater student's duty to take part in at least one Shakespeare play. After landing the part of Juliet, your biggest concerns are memorizing your lines, avoiding that awkward stage kiss for as long as possible, and dodging your friends' attempts to set you up with your Romeo. Unfortunately for your weak-willed and overly imaginative brain, your co-lead can be hot when he isn't staring into your soul with that overwhelming intensity. Though, you could probably get used to that too if it means free reign to look at those thighs as much as you want. Maybe that stage kiss won't be so awkward after all.

A meeting with the recently-arrived vampire coven carries both the hope of alliance and the fear of newfound enemies. It isn't until everyone is seated at the table that your realize just how desperate your territory's leader is to secure help against a threat he has yet to inform you of. Chan is gambling with a hand you know nothing about, and he seems to have met his match in the unfamiliar Hongjoong. All you can do is fulfill your duty as the witchborn mediator and pray that the vampires have come as friends, not usurpers, especially if greater danger lurks on the horizon.

Being the only witchblood descendent in the area brings with it certain responsibilities, such as acting as advisor to the current leader and as contact point for incoming residents. Your territory is fortunate to have its present leadership. Chan and the Strays are a pack who take their role seriously and go out of their way to keep the local denizens safe- Night dweller and human alike. You've built a good balance together, and life has been comfortable.
The appearance of a vampire coven within the territory threatens to disrupt that balance. The newcomers might follow the old protocols and say that they aren't interested in replacing the pack as territory leaders, but that doesn't mean they aren't playing a longer game for control. You can only hope that this is a new step in adaptation to something new, not the destruction of the peace you've enjoyed these past years.
