And why is it easier to talk to the Other Lena who wants to kill her than it is to talk to her actual best friend?

“Who are you?” Kara asks, watching the woman’s eyes fade from gold back to pale green. There’s no mistaking it – she has powers, and those powers seemed undeniably magical.
“Morgana,” Red Daughter supplies as an introduction, pulling this Morgana close and taking her by the waist. Morgana rests a hand gently on her chest, looking up at her with an incredibly genuine affection totally divorced from the droll tone she was taking with Kara, and they look so utterly devoted to each other that Kara couldn’t possibly mistake their relationship for anything but what it is.
They’re in love. Kara’s clone and Lena’s are, inexplicably, in a relationship; and Lena’s can somehow do magic.

When Kara and Lena’s look-alikes turn up in National City, aggressively in love and seemingly shameless, Kara is forced to reckon with why she can’t stop thinking about what’s happening between the people wearing their faces.

“I –“ Morgana hesitates, thrown off by the question. She clutches the runestone harder. As a last resort her plan was to try to send whoever was summoned back through the rift if they proved disagreeable, but this woman is even more formidable and yet somehow less threatening than Morgana could have imagined. “The spell was to find the most powerful being in creation. I didn’t know who would answer the call.”
The woman frowns. “Me? Not her?”
“Who?”
