Silvi Hawthorne was a barely functional inkling barista working at the local cafe. She made drinks for those looking for their caffeine fix, she'd chat with her coworkers, she'd go home and spend the rest of the day on the internet. It could get boring doing the same stuff over and over again, but it was a functional routine.
… And then she wakes up seemingly several thousand years in the past with a severe case of “I can't read this language and can barely speak the local dialect” and “there’s an hour between days where everything is green and nothing works.”

He felt a pit of despair grow in his stomach and work its way through his chest, creating a lump in his throat. What the hell was he going to do? A barrage of thoughts spiraled through his mind. “God, why are you so stupid?”, “Why can’t you do a single fucking assignment?”, “What the hell is your problem?”, “You are so fucking stupid.”, “I hate you.” He began to indulge these thoughts on purpose, knowing he deserved every word. At the same time, he felt disgusted with himself for wallowing in his own self-hatred. He knew hating himself wouldn’t change his situation, but he didn’t have the strength to stop himself.
He suddenly thought of Saki again. What would she say if she was still here? If she knew how he felt? He wishes he knew, so he could say it to himself. Whatever it was, it would have made him feel better.
