And here they are, trapped like a couple of treed cats in this little hole in a cliff face. No horse, no pack, no potions, no swords. Summary
He walks toward Jayce, driven by a thousand hands on his back. Of people in that room, of ghosts, of his own mother. All pushing him toward Jayce and toward a future that metamorphosizes with every step he takes. Viktor can feel the winds shift and part of his story is wiped clean, unwritten by his own actions that night.
Viktor doesn’t look back. He allows Jayce to open the door for him, and steps out into the evening. The sunset is vibrant, gold and pink and explosive.
Feeling unaccepted by Piltover in the wake of his 28th birthday, Viktor returns to the Undercity for an annual festival to reconcile who he is with where he came from.

"Advanced Chemistry," Viktor mumbles, reading the title out as his fingertips dance lightly over the raised letters embossed into the flexible cover, "I didn't realize you read romance."
"I don't," Jayce argues, his tone and posture defensive, but as Viktor raises a skeptical brow in his partner's direction, he seems to realize the error in his words, "Well, not usually."

"It's not happening. So, either you let me help you, or I'm finding where your doctor lives and dragging you over there right now." Folding his arms over his chest, Jayce stares down at a frowning Viktor, his lower lip plush and pouting the way it always does when he's annoyed at his partner. Jayce shrugs again. "Your choice."
Viktor's eyes narrow and for a moment, Jayce wonders if perhaps that sharp honey stare is more dangerous than any laser they could ever design, boring into him with the heat of a bright burning star.
"You are a colossal pain in the ass, Jayce Talis."

Photo after photo slid out, of Jayce in soft, delicate color, caught mid-laugh, or feigning coyness with eyes that didn’t match the tension in his flexed arms. It was infuriating. Hypnotic. His head pounded, the pressure in his skull threatening to give him an aneurysm from the want thrumming through his veins.
His fingers, absentmindedly, drifted to the buttons of his trousers.

OR: A local magazine writes a series of features on the Piltover Councilors. Jayce's lack of boundaries and overly trusting nature combined with sleazy journalism practices ends with a very publicly released risqué photoshoot, an onslaught of public attention, and Viktor reaping the benefits of it all.
