Summary
Inspector Javert is happiest when he can find fulfillment in his work. But sometimes, his body's needs get the better of him, and he tries to find a different pleasure - only it seems as if everyone he is interested in turns out be related to the criminal class. After he accidentally has encounters up with most of the Patron-Minette gang, he decides to swear off further relations entirely.
(This is without a doubt the fault of Jean Valjean. Somehow.)

This time, they both froze.
Champmathieu is never arrested, Javert doesn’t send his letter to the Prefect, and Fantine is reunited with her daughter. As a result, Javert somehow finds himself living in domestic bliss with none other than Monsieur Madeleine. There’s only one slight problem: that’s not his real name, and they both know it.
