Summary
Sparrow, Del, and Eis'Libe are Grey Rangers, tasked with keeping order in the Wildlands of war-torn Shaintar. Assigned to a city in the neighboring country of Galea, they stumble on a plot beyond their wildest imaginations, beginning with investigating the seemingly simple case of a missing elf named Trayps Verdan.
This story is the novelization of a role-playing campaign I ran in 2020, in the Shaintar fantasy setting, with permission and feedback from the players. This is a work in progress, so please consider this to be a beta until I finish and revise. Feedback is most welcome!

Summary
In the world of Shaintar, there are several races of fae, or elves, the oldest of which are the faelakar, spirits brought into the world when it was new and given living forms to dwell in. Though ageless, they are not immortal, and very few remain. But 8,000-some years is a long time for one person to live. One such faelakar, Verdan the Healer, is weary of the world and life, and enters hibernation as a tree in a secluded forest grove.
Until he is woken up by a young orcish bard's music, and his attention is captured. Soon enough, so is his heart. But can love last between two who are so different?Series

Summary
Epilogue/continuation of Gregory Maguire's The Wicked Years, particularly Out of Oz, with a focus on finishing Liir's story, which was too open-ended and sad for my taste. And what of his one-time lover, Trism? They've suffered enough; maybe they deserve some peace. So, if you're in the mood for a happy ending with some romance, this might be for you. Bonus points if you catch all my references to the original Oz books by L. Frank Baum, but that's just for fun.
Some parts are rated Mature for some male/male explicitness, though I stop short of erotica, in my own estimation.
05/11/2022: 2nd Edition! After getting some feedback, I made a few changes. Principally, the last paragraph of Chapter 3 is now replaced by two new paragraphs, and there's also a new one at the beginning of Chapter 4. I also made some typo corrections, added some extra space in between scenes, and fixed a few lines that needed fixing. Most of these changes, most readers will never notice. But if it seems better than the first time, I (and my lovely editor) take full credit!
