Summary

So when Curly offers him a risky job that reminds him how thrilling life can be, how could he refuse?

Summary
Ponyboy Curtis was going to murder Two-Bit Mathews. It would be slow and painful—he’d have to start by ripping his fingernails off one by one, or maybe he’d start by the current realization that he needs to cut back on scary movies. Either way, his cheer practice had just ended and he was supposed to be cleaning up in the boys bathroom. He thanked the heavens it was just a single person bathroom, because the lipstick sitting on top of the rest of his items was going to make him pop a blood vessel. He shoved it to the bottom of the bag and put on his day clothes. He just hoped it hadn’t gotten damaged.
OR: A single prank leads to a whole lot of feelings, bullying, and a bit of an identity crisis for Ponyboy. Also, Curly’s trying really hard to focus on the task at hand, with varying success.

Ponyboy Curtis is not doing well.
He’s has always been quiet, but ever since it happened, he’s withdrawn even more. His brothers are doing their best, but sometimes it feels like they’re watching him slip away. With college on the horizon and the weight of unspoken fears hanging between them, Ponyboy struggles to hold on to the pieces of his life. His friends are there, trying to help, but healing isn't something Ponyboy knows how to do.
But he’s gonna try his damn hardest to figure it out.
Or, In the summer before senior year, Ponyboy tried to kill himself. Now, it’s a year later—the summer before his freshman year in college and things need to change before he leaves. It doesn’t help that Randy is out for Johnny and Ponyboy even years after Bobs death. The only question is, can he get better? And does he want to?

Home is also far away from Tulsa, and he is glad for it.
But when his past pulls him back without warning, he’s forced to face everything he thought he’d left behind. Everyone he left behind. Even worse, theres a killer on the loose and no one can seem to figure out who it is or who’s next.

Ponyboy considered herself to be as regular as regular came. Perhaps the definition, even. She was unassuming. Not like her brother Soda, who could have been a movie star. Not even like Darry, who everyone at school loved even though he was a Grease. Pony got overlooked; and more often than not, she was fine with that. Darry probably was, too, if it meant she was staying out of trouble.
Though, trouble was kind of built into her. Not like she could help it. That was just what growing up around a bunch of greasy boys does to a person.

Basically, Ponyboy Curtis is a girl, which changes a few things, but definitely not everything.
